The Discover Indie Film Foundation (DIFF), is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that manages two film festivals. Both festivals are on FilmFreeway’s Top 100 Best Reviewed Film Festivals list.
Do you love indie film? The Discover Indie Film Foundation’s team values quality above all. Our greatest pride comes during every film festival when multiple attendees and official selections note that every film they saw at our festival was excellent.
The Discover Indie Film Foundation embraces the work of filmmakers from diverse backgrounds and communities, excluding no one. It is our philosophy to honor their work as filmmakers and not place their work in separate categories based on race, sexual orientation, or gender identification.
We have been proud to honor films from every community as Official Selections and Award Winners, honoring their work as filmmakers without being balkanized as “Black filmmakers” or “LGBTQ filmmakers” or “Women filmmakers.” All of our filmmakers are filmmakers and we honor them equally. We never tire of hearing underrepresented filmmakers, and traditionally represented filmmakers, thanking the DIFF team for treating everyone equally.
